Good News! Trust is a Jersey Charity working principally in Africa to relieve poverty and assist the poor in achieving their potential.

In Kenya we support community development projects in the area around Oyugis, a small town in a poor rural area in Western Kenya near lake Victoria.  This included building schools, protecting springs for clean water and building latrines to improve sanitation.  We also attempt to support the most vulnerable members of the community such as widows, orphans and the disabled with practical help, such as house repairs, food and wheelchairs.

In Mozambique we work in partnership with the local church to support the building and running of the Ebenezer Centre, a day care centre for orphans and street children.  We are also supporting feeding programs for children, assisting in building a church and training centre for pastors, supporting pastors' theological training, providing bicycles for pastors, bibles and other teaching materials.

In Jersey we deliver a project called Love Matters (www.love-matters.co.uk) which works with young people to empower and equip them to make healthy and positive choices about their lives and relationships. Love Matters delivers effective Personal Social and Health Education (PSHE) in a variety of settings, around issues that are relevant to young people.
